Assignment: Architectural Photography. Had a lot of fun with this stuff, and I decided to use some of the pictures I took in DC. I warmed up the tone on them a bit because I love the way old photos yellow over time.

Orchidfield: Visual Puns and Industrial Redesigns

I plan on making my Portfolio focus on my novel Orchidfield, which I'm editing this year. Naturally, let's begin with the main character, Adam, in a visual pun. Adam is in orange because he's from San Francisco. And the book and the shillelagh? Well I don't want to give too much away about Orchidfield.

Industrial Redesign- I.V. Parasol.
Another Orchidfield Character, Vivi. Yes, I'm well aware that people are sick of vampires now, but Vivi was created back before Vampires were sparkly angst-filled marketing ploys. I imagine burning to an agonizing crisp in the sunlight and needing to feed on blood must make outings to the beach impossible, so I thought I'd use this project to come up with a solution for Vivi, and voila, the I.V. Parasol.I'm fond of those ridiculous super-old swimsuits, and even more fond of putting Vivi in them in modern times. I really like the sea grass combined with the nautical colors of the outfit. It's so New England!

Memory Books and ATC's

So here are some of my Artist Trading Cards

So here are some pieces from my Memory Book. I themed the whole thing around the Wizard of Oz, which made it SUPER fun.

And to cap off the day...a few more Artist Trading cards. I'm personally quite partial to the tree...girl...Georgia O'Keefe-inspired...thing.
